Message from the Chairman of the Board

Black Hills Vision provides a historical opportunity for the Black Hills to ensure the economic and social vitality of our area. We have the very best quality of life in America - a strong, dedicated workforce - friendly people - a mild climate and a good environment to grow and develop new businesses.

Three leading economic development organizations have come together to solve problems and create opportunities for generating new jobs and improving our quality of life. This marks the first time in history of the Black Hills that our diverse communities have united to set common goals and objectives. An impressive array of businesses and community leaders worked hard to build strategic, results-oriented economic development game plan for the Black Hills that will allow us to capture new and expanding business opportunities.

The attached information outlines five components of Black Hills Vision - a four-year plan to create and retain 7500 jobs as a region. As you know, there are many diverse opinions about how this should be done. Our "Vision" is straightforward - to unite our communities in order to build a more attractive business climate for all.
